What Is Interior Detailing?

Interior detailing goes far beyond a quick vacuum at the gas station. It’s a top-to-bottom clean of every surface you touch, sit on and look at, from the carpet under the seats to the vents, cupholders and door pockets that collect dust and crumbs over time. The goal is simple: a cabin that looks, feels and smells like you just drove it off the lot.

Because we’re a mobile detailing service, the work happens wherever your vehicle is parked. We’re fully self-contained with our own water and power, so there are no hoses to borrow or outlets to find.

Signs Your Interior Needs a Detail

  • Crumbs and dirt packed into seat seams and between the seats and console
  • Sticky cupholders, dusty vents and smudged touchscreens
  • White salt stains on carpet and floor mats after a Kansas City winter
  • Lingering smells from food, gym bags, kids or pets
  • You’re getting ready to sell, trade in or turn in a lease

Our Interior Detailing Process

  1. Walk-around and inspection. We look over the cabin with you, note problem areas and confirm exactly what’s included in your quote.
  2. Clear out and vacuum. Mats come out, loose debris goes, and we vacuum everything from the headrests to the cargo area.
  3. Detail the hard surfaces. Dash, console, door panels, vents and controls get cleaned with products made for each material.
  4. Glass and screens. Interior windows, mirrors and displays are cleaned streak-free.
  5. Final inspection. We walk through the finished interior with you. If anything was missed in our inspection, we take care of it.

Why Kansas City Interiors Take a Beating

Our seasons are tough on a cabin. In winter, boots track in road salt and brine that dry into white crusty stains in the carpet. In spring, pollen settles into the vents and fabric. And during a Kansas City summer, the inside of a parked car gets hot enough to bake spills and odors right into the upholstery. A professional interior detail each season resets all of it and helps the materials last longer.

How Long Does It Take?

Every vehicle is different. A lightly used commuter car takes less time than a family SUV after a summer of road trips or a work truck that lives on job sites. When you text us photos, we’ll quote your price and give you a time estimate so you can plan your day.

Keeping Your Interior Clean Between Details

  • Use all-weather floor mats in the winter and shake them out often.
  • Keep a small trash bag in the car so wrappers don’t pile up.
  • Wipe up spills right away, before the heat sets them.
  • Use a windshield sun shade in the summer to protect the dash.
  • Book a maintenance plan to keep your vehicle consistently clean.

FAQ

Interior Detailing Questions

All FAQs →

Do you shampoo carpets and cloth seats?

Yes. Interior shampooing and steam cleaning are available as an add-on, and they’re the best option for stains, spills and ground-in dirt. Mention it when you text your photos and we’ll include it in your quote.

Can you get rid of pet hair?

Yes. Heavy or embedded pet hair takes extra time and specialized tools, so it’s quoted as an add-on. Photos of your seats and carpet help us price it accurately.

My car smells like smoke or pets. Can you fix that?

Our ozone treatment add-on neutralizes lingering odors like smoke, pets, food and mildew instead of covering them up with fragrance.

How long does an interior detail take?

It depends on the size and condition of the vehicle and any add-ons you choose. We’ll give you a time estimate along with your free quote.
